Her researched and collected songs are those that represent the lives of
our children, ourselves, our elders, and the lives and contributions of women, social justice activists
and workers throughout history.
Linda's musical style encompasses Blues, progressive-folk, traditional, country,
Nueva Cancion, jazz, and women's music, including songs in Spanish,
Portuguese, Urdu, Hindi, Arabic, Hebrew, Yiddish and Kiswahili. She is
also a Special Education, Spanish and U.S. History teacher and is involved in
Reading instruction.
Programs can be tailored to meet the interests of the audience. She performs, produces concerts, emcees, lectures, and gives keynote speeches and workshops for any group from grammar school children to community, professional, and academic organizations. Linda performs solo, but performances with other musicians are available.
In 2005, friends
and neighbors Lin and Dennis began performing together. Their love for
folk, Blues, folk-rock, jazz, and World music is combined
with Dennis' rich acoustic and electric guitar leads, bass guitar
and percussion , a great compliment to Lin's rhythm guitar. His creative
playing adds zest and a unique approach to traditional as well as
contemporary and original songs. Together they perform in clubs,
restaurants, community events and festivals.
